What We Do
The Second Church Enrichment Center (SCEC) provides programs for children, youth, and adults to enhance their social skills and ability to be positive members in their community. The SCEC includes programming such as, but is not limited to, workshops regarding leadership and teamwork; health and wellness; moral and ethical principles; understanding cultures; learning about community resources; etc. It also includes academics, sports, recreational activities, arts & electives, field trips, and community services.
Program Schedule
English Class – Mon & Wed, 5pm to 6:30pm
Capoeira – Tue & Thu, 6:30pm to 8pm
All ages, $5 per class for adults 18+ (uniform sold or rented separately)
Sewing – Wed, 6pm to 7:30pm
Youth & Adults, One time $50 registration
Interested in fashion? Get or improve your basic sewing skis to help your career!
Tutoring Service – Mon through Fri, 5pm to 6:30pm
Computer Class – Fri 6:30pm – 7:30pm,
Adults, One time $50 registration
We have to help you succeed.
English Class (ESL) – Mon & Wed 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Bible Study – Wednesdays
Beginners: 7pm to 8pm, Advanced: 7:30pm to 8:30pm
Children, Youth & Adults
Come learn more about the Bible and who Jesus Christ is. FREE!
Monthly Clinical Workshops – 3rd Saturday of each month 10am to 2pm
Love Without Limits
Youth & Adults (open to professionals)
Registration $20 per workshop (lunch included)
Friends of the Park – 3rd Mondays each month, 6pm to 8:30pm (fellowship from 6-7pm)
Adults, FREE! Hot meals & free resources provided.

Summer Enrichment Program
During the summer the SCEC offers a Summer Enrichment Program involving all the services provided during the year, plus trainings and activities focusing on the recharging and preparation for the academic year. The program also offers the opportunity for families to come together for different activities focused on strengthening bonds, communication, understanding, and support one another.
